International Handwriting Day 2024

Aurora Pen and the handwriting: a reality still strongly present.

In today’s digital environment, where digitization has become the norm, it is crucial to emphasize the value of handwriting and the reading of paper documents. In response to this trend, countries such as Sweden are exploring practices that promote the use of paper and handwriting in order to balance the impact of technology and reduce the distractions that come with it.

Although this practice may, at first assessment, appear to be an almost anachronistic activity, it remains of absolute importance and is celebrated and encouraged globally on the very day of January 23. An anniversary established in 1977 by WIMA in the United States, it provides a unique opportunity to reflect on the importance of handwriting in daily life.

Writing by hand, using only two elements such as pen and paper, contributes crucially to the harmonious development of motor and mental skills. The art of calligraphy, also celebrated on this day, requires the use of specific pens with special characteristics for optimal performance.
In this context Aurora Pen, internationally recognized for its excellence in Made in Italy, has decided to launch #AuroraPenHandwritingDay. An occasion to encourage and celebrate handwriting, inviting people to share the deep motivations that reside for each person behind this practice.
